Counting down the days!

Hello all,
We are anxiously counting down the days till we all come home to the Midwest! I know I can not wait anymore and I'm so exciting to see my family and friends! As well as introducing you all to little miss Isla. Jake is also excited he will get a much needed break from work. I know I am looking forward to getting away from the negative degree weather! haha! It's gonna be a warm front going back home.
Isla is doing very good and growing very fast! She amazes me every day at how she learns and grows.  We are so blessed that we have such a happy healthy little girl! It definitely has gotten easier as people said it would but i never believed them! ;) Getting more sleep and she sleeps really good at night and for longer periods which is awesome! She has discovered her hands and like to look at them in amazement! We like to have conversations about our days and she listens and Coos back to us! Jake likes to hear about it when he comes home from work. She thinks her dad is really funny for some reason?
Before we jet off home we will be hitting up Santa's House! Ohhh boy should be something! Isla gets to meet Santa so we shall see how she reacts to that! hmm? It should be a good time we are looking forward to taking her there and checking it all out. Little weird that I live right down the road from all this shenanigans but its also kinda cool and will be nice to look back on and think we lived next to Santa! ha! I will put pics up of that adventure!
As i said before we are counting down the days till we come home and we leave in about little under 2 weeks!! I hope the flying goes good with her and she does well, little nervous about that but it has to be done! Hope to see you all soon or those of you who will be around. Hope everyone has a good Holiday and Merry Christmas in advance! Cheers!

The past 2 months..

It has been a few weeks since I have shared a post. Sorry it has been quite busy here with a newborn and the lack of sleep makes me forget where i am or what i am doing lately?! ;)  These two months have flown by and it makes me realize how I want to try and capture every little thing she does, so i don't forget all the great moments.  That is so hard to do when you have so much going on in your mind. We are just trying to live in each moment and enjoy!
Isla has been growing so fast its crazy! She eats non stop i feel like and she is packing on the pounds as her dad says! Geez! But never the less she is filling out quite good.  She will be 2 months here soon and she seems to be the happiest baby in the world. She smiles constantly even in her sleep and when she's had a good poop! haha! It's so fun to watch all her facial expressions and hear her knew noises! Its a whole knew world for both Jake and I and we are just loving each minute.  Even though at times we get irritable and exhausted it goes by and we get through it.  Especially for me being so far away from home, I miss my family and friends terribly.  It gets hard when he's at work for 12 hrs a day and I'm home by myself, at that moment is when I wish I was closer to home so I could have some help or company. I just have to try and stay strong and keep positive, it will soon pass.  Soon enough we will be home for the holidays and we are so excited to see everyone and show off Isla as well.  We will be coming home on the14th of Dec, and Isla and I will be staying for a month and Jake unfortunately has to go back early for work. I'm just thankful he gets time off and can come home finally!
Isla can't wait to meet all her knew family and friends! She is really looking forward to it! I will also try and make more updates as I can, or when I have the chance to! Thanks for checking in with us! XOXO

Isla Vivian Osborn is here!

The wait is finally over! Isla is here and was born on Sept 18, 2013 at 10:57am and was 7lbs 9oz 19 3/4 long.  It was a long 16 1/2 hr labor that I thought was never gonna end, but it did and it was all worth it to have our new amazing daughter here with us.  We couldn't be more thrilled with how this little girl has changed our lives for the better. She has been doing so good and has been a really good baby so far. Sleeping well and feeding good! She likes to eat! Sleep for mom and dad has been very little, but thank you to grandma and grandpa for being here they have been a huge help with everything! We don't know what we would do without them!
Isla will almost be 2 wks, and time seems to be flying by even though at times its hard and the lack of sleep doesn't help. But before we know it she will be walking so we just have to cherish these times and take it one day at a time.
We are very lucky and grateful to all of our family and friends for all the well wishes, and support it has been so greatly appreciated. All the texts, calls, etc, has been great.  And sorry for not responding back fast enough, Isla likes to take all the attention ;) Thank you again for all the love!

Any Day Now!

So today we went to the doctor and we have some good news is that I am finally making progress and I am dilated to 3! And the Doc says every thing looks good and baby is doing fine, just being a little stubborn! So we are at home just waiting it now naturally to see how I progress, which I hope goes well.  Been doing a lot of walking and stretching and whatever it takes to get things moving along faster! My parents will be here tonight Tuesday, which we are very excited about! They made it just in time!  I guess she was just waiting for grandma and grandpa to get here?! ;)  So that's what they say.
Hopefully by the next few days we will have a knew addition to our family, and can't wait to share with everyone her name!! Finally!

Patiently Waiting..

Sept. 12th has come and gone, just like any other day with no contractions or pains.  So we wait and hopefully within a few more days we make some progress. I've been pretty comfortable for right now, who knows what the next few days will bring. We are trying to be as patient as we can, it's hard though when you have everything ready and done.  Only thing we need is that baby to fill all the clothes, put in the swing or just stare at. :) I know everyone at home is on edge including my mom! Every time she answers the phone she thinks I'm in the hospital or somethings happening! Then she likes to yell at dad and tell him to have his phone with him at all times! ha ha They will be coming here on Tues the 17th, they thought she would have been here already, but maybe they will get to be here when she is delivered? I know dads little camera finger will just be going nuts if that's the case!  Either way Jake and I are excited to see them!
I'll keep on trying to keep everyone in the loop, thanks for checking in on us!

An Ode to the Belly

Jake was just telling me the other night how much he is going to miss "the belly". He likes to come home and lay on it and listen to her move and at times she gives his cheek a swift kick! :) It has been quite an amazing experience having this little girl growing inside of me. Watching each week, month as she grows, its crazy! Feeling the kicks and movements as she stretches and now as she is almost here I feel like she is about to stretch threw my stomach! Jake is just in Awe of how "the belly" works and she moves and comes alive when he gets her all riled. I must admit I will miss the feelings and movements of having her inside of me.   So with all of that being said it made me reminisce on the past few months on how much  "the belly" has grown and changed, and how fast everything went by! It feels like it was just yesterday when I found out I was pregnant and I almost fell off the toilet! Haha! Going threw some of these pics makes me even more excited for her to get here. And I have to give much credit to the amazing photographer and even greater person and friend, Krista Rae Fischer for taking some of these pics for me! Having all these memories captured is great! So to "the belly" we can't wait to meet you! xoxo

Welcome to the North Pole?!

As Jake says these words to me "Welcome to the North Pole", I didn't quite know what to think? As we are driving to our knew home we pass some quite interesting things. For instance I see this Santa that is from what I later find out is the biggest Santa in the world! Plus, many candy canes all around town and I notice the street names are not like usual street names! So, I think to myself where the *#$^ am I!! Am I in candy land? I never thought this place existed much more that I would be living here! haha! But, as time goes on I have grown more to liking it here and gotten used to all the candy canes, just wish sometimes that we are closer to home. Jake has been very supportive of my many "moods" while I have been here, and he has made me open my eyes to many knew things and helped me stay strong along the way! Thank you Jake!

The First of many post to come

First off this is my first time blogging, so bare with me as I am knew to this. The idea behind this was actually suggested by a few friends, and I thought that is a great idea. Since I really prefer not to put everything personal on Facebook, for all to see. I wanted to share all these moments with my close family and friends that I don't get to see very much of anymore, since I am way the hell up north! Ha. I thought it would be nice to post the journeys we go threw as we start our family here in the North Pole.
With that being said I am currently 39 wks and I am "supposed" to be due Sept 12th! But I have a feeling she might go over, I haven't had any changes no contractions nothing...so I think she is quite comfortable in there! So as we patiently wait, we try and do as much exploring as we can, or I can. Jake can't wait for her to come so he can just strap her on his back and go! Haha We both can't wait for her to arrive, any day now. I will try and keep you all posted as well, and we thank you for visiting our new site! Enjoy, and let the adventure begin!
